High School Students:
James Kiffe Scholarship
This scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Mr. James Kiffe, Class of 1942. Mr. Kiffe was the only child of a single, working mother. He attended Aquinas High School through the generosity of other donors and he never forgot it. During his lifetime, Mr. Kiffe supported our schools, foundation, building campaigns, and scholarships. The Kiffe estate plan left $6 million to the Aquinas Scholarship Fund to provide scholarships to Aquinas High School students and families in need beyond his lifetime.
Aquinas students in grades 9-12 are eligible to receive a James L. Kiffe Scholarship
Grant of up to $1,000 toward tuition by submitting this request form, specifying the
amount needed by the family. Current families with high school students may recall the Kiffe Grant amount of $1,260 in prior years. By reorganizing the Kiffe funds, the retention of the $260 per student has created additional need-based Kiffe Scholarships, available for families through the FACTS financial aid process. This reorganization more closely honors Mr. Kiffe’s desire to help families with a determined need attend Aquinas High School.
